Our Redeemer Lutheran Church is the first congregation of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod to organize in the Territory of Hawaii.  For more than seventy years it has been a congregation of faithful Christians who gather every Sunday to receive God’s offered blessings of the forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation. With a strong emphasis on preaching the Gospel in the center of Honolulu it is the LCMS congregation closest to the surf and sands of Waikiki.  It has maintained the classic Lutheran worship service and a high standard of music in support of that worship.

My name is Christian.  For a brief time (from grade school until the seminary), I went by “Chris”.  That was a phase, a long phase, but still a phase.  First and foremost, you need to know that I am a sinner, a sinner who was cleansed by the blood of Jesus.  I believe that the Word and Sacrament change lives; I know they changed mine.  I love serving God as a pastor, having been reared in a Pastor’s home, and attended all Lutheran schools, starting with elementary.

My favorite book of the Bible is Romans, especially Romans 7.  Personally, I think this matters more than knowing I’m from Arizona or that I graduated from Lutheran schools and universities.

Jesus loved me so much, He died for me;             Jesus love you so much, He died for you!
